The slave nodes will not communicate with each other before receiving the request from the master node, Instead of transmitting data. MODBUS Communication always starts from the master node to the slave node. This is a generic link that hundreds of vendors have implemented, It can be integrated into thousands of different manufacturing devices, To transmit discrete signals between control devices / simulation I / O And register the data. Modbus It's an open standard, It is a widely used network protocol in industrial manufacturing environment. In order to make Modbus Get into 21 century ,1999 The open Modbus TCP / IP standard. Modbus RTU Patterns are the most common implementation, however Modbus TCP / IP It's getting popular and ready to go beyond it. Modicon On 1979 Introduced to the market in Modbus agreement. What's the difference between the two ? Although the two protocols are similar, But cost and speed make a difference. But the two most used are Modbus RTU( Remote terminal unit ), Serial (RS-232 or RS-485) Agreement or Modbus(TCP / IP) Transmission control protocol and Internet agreement. It's used to establish master-slave relationships between devices / client - Server communication. Where Modbus can handle up to 9999 Object Instances (points), JBUS can accommodate more than 9999 points.Modbus Agreement is Modicon Developed message passing structure. This also applies to JBUS Serial protocol, because the only difference between the JBUS and Modbus Protocols is the capacity to handle the number of points. And that is how the overall data communication takes place.Īnd therefore, Client Side and Server Side Map Descriptors are not required. In this example, when Modbus TCP/IP Master device polls for a Modbus Register on Ethernet Adapter N1 on Fieldserver, that request is passed on to the Node – 01 on the Client side and then from there – ‘Client Side Nodes’ it is recognised that Node – 01 is on Serial Port R1 and that is how the Modbus Register is ultimately polled from Node / Device – 01 on Serial Port R1. Port, Baud, Parity, Data_Bits, Stop_Bits, Protocol, Handshaking, Poll_Delay Please note that if Server Side is Serial (Modbus RTU), then ‘Server Side Nodes’ section is to be included.Īn example of such a configuration file is shown here The configuration file (config.csv) for such an assembly contains three main sections after ‘Bridge’ section – ‘Client Side Connections’, Client Side Nodes (If Client side is Serial – Modbus RTU) and Server Side Connections. In an assembly where the Fieldserver device is reading from a Modbus device on Modbus RTU (Serial) or Modbus TCP/IP (Ethernet), and then serving to another Modbus device on Modbus TCP/IP or Modbus RTU, i.e., if the Fieldserver is integrating from Modbus to Modbus – RTU to TCP/IP or TCP/IP to RTU, then in such cases, the assembly can be configured in a very easy way for Fieldserver device with just three main sections included in the config file and without including Client side and Server side Map Descriptors in the config. ![]()

They believe that you should hang your bell 4 inches off the ground and always, always, I mean always, have it hanging in the middle of the trailer or you’ll turn over. Truck drivers, like motorcyclists, have a Gremlin bell an Angel bell that they hang on their trailers for safety. When done with a run, truckers pat the dashboard and thank her for a job well done. Truckers believe that you “Never piss on a truck or it will piss on you.” Truckers believe it’s bad luck to cross a highway when stopping for a break. Truckers believe it is unlucky to drive with a 50 dollar bill on their person. They always refer to their trucks as ‘she’ or ‘her” very much like sailors refer to ships as being female. When driving by a cemetary truckers believe it’s unlucky to breath so they will hold their breath until they pass. There are rituals, stories, superstitions that truckers abide by to keep them safe, on time and coming home at the end of a run. We all have some little thing that we do, some ritual some superstition we follow, it may be unconscious or conscious but, it’s what works for us and truckers are no different. Why? Who knows but it works so why mess with it. No one talks to pitcher once he gets close to a no hitter. If a player has a great day at the plate, he’ll use the same bat til he cools off. Players don’t step on foul lines when taking or coming off the field. ![]() ![]() ![]() And no one was happier to see Cleo back on campus than Kaleb, though we hope his new powers don’t cause any trouble on their first date. * Josie’s second attempt at rescuing Cleo proved far more successful, pulling her out of Malivore’s hellscape just as it burned around her. “I’ll love your dark side for you,” Finch said before kissing Josie back to her former self. But unlike the last time Josie’s alter ego showed her veiny face at the Salvatore School, she’s now in a stable relationship with Finch, who vowed to help her girlfriend overcome the darkness. * For her part in the fight against Malivore, Josie was once again seduced by the allure of black magic, a flirtation that (oops!) turned her back into Dark Josie. This whole experience helped Lizzie and MG to realize that they finally both feel the same way about each other at the same time (at last!), but with Ethan still very much around, it looks like we’re in for another classic CW love triangle between a witch, a vampire and… whatever Ethan is. This well-intentioned act apparently turned him into a magical being, one that can teleport and loves beer. A possessed Ethan found himself on death’s door after Lizzie intervened in his scuffle with MG, but the two worked together to supernaturally jolt him back to life. * Hope wasn’t the only character who underwent a significant transition this week. Acts of violence don’t usually leave us feeling nostalgic, but here we are. So she did what any Mystic Falls resident would do after transitioning: She slapped on a leather jacket, flipped off her humanity, and left Alaric bleeding out in the town square as a message for anyone who dares try to “rescue” her. Unfortunately, Hope soon realized that she was nowhere near ready to kill her boyfriend and become the most powerful being in the world all in the same afternoon. It’s unclear what the future holds for ol’ Landon, but as Ted pointed out when they reunited on the docks, “We’ve figured our way out of worse.” ![]() With one last kiss and one last stab, Hope sent her boyfriend into the afterlife - and his father into oblivion. “We both know you have to kill me,” he told her, as they both agreed to stop fighting their destinies. Make no mistake, though, this was still goodbye. Hope was fully prepared to stab Landivore with a sword made out of her own blood (classic Hope!), but right before the blow was struck, Landon regained control of his body and stopped the tribrid dead in her tracks. As expected, Hope did all three of her species proud, beating Landivore into a felt-skinned pulp until he ran screaming. Landivore thought he could saunter in and take her out, but from the moment Hope stared him down with those cold yellow eyes, the fight was clearly over. ![]() Under a blood red sky, complete with lightning for dramatic effect, Hope fed on Alaric and fully transitioned into a hybrid. (Gee, thanks!) Fortunately, Hope’s timing is as impeccable as her top knots she managed to come back to life and arrive just in time to put Kaleb down. So he definitely wasn’t ready for Round 2 against a dragon-powered Kaleb, who promised not to absorb Alaric after killing him so that everyone would remember what a failure he was. Alaric did his best to patrol the streets of Mystic Falls, going full Rick Grimes on a legion of possessed townies, but he barely made it out alive. Do any of the Blacklisters trust each other anyway?Ĭheck out the promo and synopsis for The Blacklist Season 8, Episode 4.While Hope was busy battling her inner demons, the external world was absolutely falling to pieces. And she’ll have enough people who will want to join her to take down the Task Force, even if they don’t trust Liz. She knows exactly how the Task Force and the FBI, as a whole, works. It wouldn’t be surprising if the season now kicks off with Elizabeth but she continually gives the Task Force the slip. There’s no doubt that Katarina’s death was likely the end or very close to the end of the initially planned Season 7. We’re just four episodes into the new season, and arguably, we’re one or two episodes into what would have been the initial Season 8. So, what is going to happen during tonight’s all-new episode? While “Elizabeth Keen (#1)” is the title, don’t expect it to end with her captured or killed. What to expect on The Blacklist Season 8, Episode 4 She’ll be recruiting the ones that are left, helping her work against the Task Force and, potentially, take down Red. Instead of working against the Blacklisters, she’s likely joining them. To be able to protect herself, Liz will need to do something drastic. Liz has been a strong part of that, but now she finds herself on the opposite side of the fight. Red has worked with the Task Force to take down the Blacklisters. ![]() ![]() ![]() Posted by Zachary Kramer on Januat 12:46 PM in Music | His guest is music critic/historian Peter Guralnick. In light of this research, the presumption that a fanciful (coined) mark is entitled to instant and broad protection may require some rethinking. But marketers know, and they spend a significant amount of time trying to craft marks that take advantage of sound symbols. This is unsurprising because most consumers don't realize it either. This is true for consonants and vowels, and true even if the word at issue is a nonsense word (like XEROX or SWIFFER).Ĭourts haven't realized that sounds convey meaning in this way. In fact, there is a significant body of research into sound symbolism that indicates many sounds carry meaning independent of the words to which they belong. That presumption about coined words is not entirely true. This connection between hearing and taste reminded me of another line of research I recently mined for my article, Are Trademarks Ever Fanciful? (105 Georgetown L.J., forthcoming 2017). Trademark law presumes that when a word is coined for use as a trademark (like XEROX for photocopiers or SWIFFER for dust mops) the word can't carry any product signifying meaning, so it must be inherently source signifying. Possible applications include pairing a six-pack of beer with an mp3 for a curated listening experience. (It also works with chocolate, among other foods). ![]() ![]() It’s a faith which centers our attention back on eternity. Spafford, even in the midst of his grief, was able to sing, “It is well with my soul”. Knowing this story, our congregation, and me personally, have found this a very helpful song and example of wonderful Christian faith in the midst of tragedy. He eventually received a telegram from his wife “saved alone”.Īs he crossed the atlantic himself, as the ship neared the place where his two daughters drowned, he penned this song. As they crossed the Atlantic, their ship was wrecked. His wife and two daughters went on and he was to catch a later ship. He and his family decided to holiday in England, but he got called away at the last minute. Spafford was a lawyer who lost most of his savings in the chicago fires. I first heard the story of Horatio Spafford when Aliki sang it in our church. I can’t think of a better song for Christians to sing when they’ve had a time of tragedy, and yet come to a place where they are finding peace in the Lord. Davidįor the purpose of reflection and respectful debate, I post the lyrics … And – who knows – down the track I may well find myself singing it both privately and within the community of faith. Have I got it wrong? Am I being too hard on myself? Am I so focused on lament, that I’ve lost sight of the hope that is there right now – and that’s what the writers are on about? Am I struggling with a lyric (ie in the choruses) that is just-too-bordering on triumphalist?īy the way – I bought the song off iTunes. Now – this is where I’d welcome your thoughts. But can I sing that right now? Could I have my congregation sing that song (with or without the Hillsong addition) this Sunday? Others might think – no problems. And if the song is about the future hope we have in Christ, well I’m in full agreement. All things considered, things were well with my soul.įast forward 18 months, and I’m not so sure I can say that. In that context and at that time, my spirit found itself singing along. The absolute highlight was a near-acapella rendition of the original version by Alison Krauss, backed by folk-country singers, The Whites. We went to the Grand Ole Opry – as you do. I recall being in Nashville in mid 2009 for a family reunion of Dale’s U.S. This is a song that has wonderful memories for me. Have a listen to the song (recording is from Hillsong, I’m sure the visuals are not, but it gives you the lyrics) … It’s just that I struggle to sing it right now. I commend Morgan, Fielding and Hillsong for what they are seeking to do with this song. This is NOT a piece of Hillsong-bagging, let me be clear! I’m in no way questioning the writers’ or Hillsongs’ intentions. I hasten to add that this is all for the purpose of raising funds for the official Queensland government flood-relief appeal. Their addition is consistent musically and theologically with the original. ![]() This version has an extra chorus (a bridge really) written by Reuben Morgan and Ben Fielding from Hillsong Church.
